From the DCI Yearbook:

Establishing a solid foundation through a new beginning last season, the Troopers are “Forging a Frontier” in 1998. Setting out the dramatic impacts of Silverado - Main Theme and The Getaway (Bruce Broughton), we visualize the true Western Heritage of early frontier settlements depicted through vibrant motions of music and drill. We subsequently find ourselves reflecting on the importance of family, and the unity brought on by the struggle of frontier life through the rich, sweeping phrases of Tombstone - The Family (Broughton). without provocation, the calm of the night is disrupted through the percussive climax of Silverado - the McKendrick Attack (Broughton), eluding to the turmoil and conflict of the rough, rugged and untamed West. As the dust settles, a new frontier has been formed, drawing upon reflections of our past, as the corps proudly presents as new rendition of its signature selections, Ghostriders/Riders in the Sky (Stan Jones) and invites you to join them in celebrating their 40th anniversary. Realizing their contribution since Troopers inception, the members would like to dedicate this year’s production to the Troopers Alumni for upholding the tradition over the last forty years.
