Fossil Trek

May 2, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Follow Justin through the waters of Green Mill Run. This stream, which runs into East Carolina University's main campus, is a gold mine for fossils from North Carolina's Pliocene and Cretaceous periods.

Justin will lead you to the best spots for fossil and artifact finds. He'll then guide you through the digging and screening process. Among the things you might uncover, and Justin will teach you to identify, are sharks teeth and bone fragments. You may even be lucky enough to find the coveted tooth of a modern Great White! $15 per person
