Music Camp

Our desire for this camp is to inspire teens to love God and use the medium of music to glorify Him. Members of the Northland International University music faculty will teach and train during the week. The one-on-one instruction, performance opportunities, and spiritual discipleship of this camp sets it apart from other music camps around the country. We desire to give each camper the tools needed to return home and use their music to be an encouragement to their local church.

Music Camp Highlights

  • Instruction in church music philosophy
  • Involvement in both small groups and large choirs
  • Private lessons in your primary proficiency
  • Experience in a recording studio
  • Group guitar lessons (for accompaniment in the local church)
  • Exposure to great music resources
  • Breakout sessions for practical learning and application (Basic & Advanced Hymn Playing, Basics of Music Arranging, Vocal Techniques, etc.)
  • At the end of the week, all campers will participate in a Recital Performance of vocal and instrumental music.

DON'T FORGET to bring your instrument with you!

Drama Camp

Do you enjoy drama and speech? Would you like to take your script for competition to the next level? Then Northland's Drama Camp is for you! Campers will learn how to create interesting and memorable characters, interact successfully with other actors on stage, as well as use the voice and body effectively. By the end of this week of camp, the entire drama camp will join together to produce a full one-act play! Our goal for this camp is bigger than just developing an ability to perform well; we desire to ignite a passion for using the medium of drama in the local church and for the glory of God.

Drama Camp Highlights

  • Receive one-on-one feedback from skilled instructors
  • Learn how to develop memorable and interesting characters
  • Practice principles of stage movement (using the stage effectively, interacting with other characters on stage, developing a strong stage presence, etc.)
  • Participate in a complete drama by the end of the week
  • Learn the basics of speech communication
  • Take part in sessions and workshops about using drama in the local church

DON'T FORGET to bring any scripts that you are currently working on.
