About Miller Heights

What We Believe?

We believe that the Bible is God's Word, totally sufficient for everything we need. The Bible teaches that we are fallen and sinful people in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who lived a perfect life, died as our substitute on the cross, and rose victoriously from the dead. The only way sinful people can have a relationship with a holy God is through Jesus Christ. Therefore, Jesus is the greatest treasure in all the universe.

Who We Are?

Miller Heights Baptist Church consists of a wide range of different people of all ages and backgrounds. Our worship style does not fit into a traditional or contemporary category. We aim to gather together and make a joyful noise to the Lord through our worship. We are a Baptist church and are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT).

A Brief Church History

Miller Heights Baptist Church was officially organized as a church on July 6, 1947 in a one room building at 1901 So Wall St, Belton, TX. The first pastor to serve at Miller Heights was Rev. T.J. Lankford. Since that time, Miller Heights has been an active member of the Belton community. Over the years, Miller Heights has been blessed to have as a part of it some of the finest members of this community. We look forward to you continuing that legacy by worshiping with us.

When Do We Meet?

Our main weekly gathering is at 10:30 on Sunday mornings. But, we have many services and activities outside of our regular Sunday services. Please feel free to browse our website to find out more information about many of our church's ministries.

What to Wear?

This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Seriously, we don't have a dress code and seek to welcome everyone who visits us.

What about Children?

We believe that children are a blessing and we value having children of all ages because we value families worshiping together. However, we also recognize that parents sometimes need a break so we provide a nursery for children 4 years and younger. Additionally, we provide an optional children's worship (pre-K through 3rd grade) on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month.

What to Expect?

We all have had a "first day" at church, and to help avoid any worries, you'll find we are very friendly. If you don't understand something, please ask. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the worship sevice. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

What about those with special needs?

At Miller Heights, we welcome all of God's people. In order to do so, we have handicap accessible rest rooms and parking available. If you or your family has other special needs that require special accommodations, please feel free to contact our church office.
