The Design Process

It's my goal to make it easy for you.

Contact me and let me know what kind of project you are interested in producing. Some of the questions I will ask are:

  • What type of printed piece do you want?
  • Who is your target audience?
  • What is your deadline?
  • Do you have a certain style you want? (eg. Casual, Fresh, Woodsy, Grungy)
  • Is there a specific size you are interested in?
  • How many will you want printed?

Note: You don't need to have answers to all these questions to contact me. We can work through some of them together if necessary.

I will provide a bid which includes all costs associated with the project. Whether you want design only or if you want me to do your project from start to finish including design and printing I can make that happen.

Once you approve the bid, I will work with you on developing the content for your project. Primarily this is the text as well as any specific photos you want included.

I will create a design and send you a proof and use that as a launching point for input. You might love what I send or you might want to go an entirely different direction. This is the time to aggressively critique the design.

This step is the refining process and the project often goes back and forth a couple times as you proof the copy and I tweak the design.

Once the project has been approved I send it to the printer and give you a delivery date.
