Women’s Ministry
As a women’s ministry we want to worship Jesus in Spirit and truth, to lift each other up through prayer, and get to know one another better in our service to our Lord and Savior. In our monthly meetings, we meet the second Saturday of each month. Each month a different woman in the church hosts and she determines where we will meet and what the program will be. At each meeting we have a devotional and some kind of refreshment. Sometimes we might have a brown bag meeting at the park, a luncheon at someone’s home, breakfast at a restaurant, or perhaps a mid-afternoon time when desert is served. We pray that our time together will lead to spiritual growth and friendships among our sisters here at First Baptist Church of Quartzsite.
The women of First Baptist Quartzsite serve in many areas throughout the church. We prepare the meal for Sunday evening fellowship time. We organize the prayer chain and take food to the sick. We prepare communion and coordinate nursery care; and participating in pot-luck dinners. We continually see the Lord’s guidance in how to serve the needs of the church.
The ladies continue to have Bible study and this year it was held at the parsonage. Currently they are studying “Fatal Distractions: Conquering Destructive Temptations.” I am thankful for each and every lady and the work they do in the church. As the leader of the Women’s ministry, I pray the Lord will bless our ministry and we will continue to find ways to serve as we grow closer to Him.
Blessings to you.
