Ministry Opportunities

No matter what year you are in school, practical ministry training is a part of the experience. Our desire is to create as many ministry opportunities as possible so that every student can learn and develop skills that will benefit them in the service of the Lord to their local church.

Choir

The WalkRight choir practices each week and sings for most camp events. They also travel on occasion singing for various churches and conferences. Every student is strongly encouraged to be a part and there are no auditions.

Chapel Music

Students are welcome to work together or with our music staff to prepare specials for our weekly chapel services. Anyone is welcome to participate in this ministry. Information on how to be a part will be distributed to students upon arrival.

Church Music Ministry

Students are encouraged to participate in the music ministries of the local church they attend. They should see the music director of that church for details.

Soul Winning

Our students are taught the principles of personal evangelism and then given multiple opportunities to go into the local community to knock on doors and share their faith. There are scheduled times as well as student-led times to go out.

Preaching

While only the second year students in the preaching track are required to preach, there are opportunities for any of the young men to preach if they desire to. Certain chapel services are set aside specifically for students to fill the pulpit.

Many of the local churches allow the students attending as an extension ministry to preach as well. This is up to each church's pastor.

Bus Calling

Once a year, we have a bus director come and teach our students a one day seminar about bus ministry. The next Saturday, the entire student body will travel to that ministry and be given an opportunity to put their skills to the test.
