For nearly nine years, I have worked side by side with Edwin in local church ministry. Truly, his burden is for the continued edification and establishment of the local church. I absolutely believe that Edwin truly has God’s calling on his life to be a church planter in the state of Oregon. I also believe that he has the enduring spirit to stick with the task regardless of the difficulties he may encounter. He is not a result-oriented man, but a faith-oriented man. I would strongly encourage you to help support the Lugo family as they are well worth the eternal investment you will make.
Pastor Michael Free, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Candor, NC

Edwin Lugo and his family came to Tabernacle Baptist Church in 2004. He has been a faithful servant of the Lord for nine years. He has grown in the Word, the work, and the wisdom of the ministry. Edwin is a real asset in the music ministry and is fantastic in youth and camp ministry. I recommend Edwin wholeheartedly to any church who will support him. I know he will be an excellent church planter in Oregon.
Jack Phillips, Pastor Emeritus of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Candor, NC

Edwin and Cassie Lugo have just been approved as church planting missionaries with Northwest Baptist Missions. Our Executive board, after interviewing them, was extremely impressed with both Edwin and Cassie. Their ministry experience under Pastor Free at Tabernacle Baptist Church and Living Water Christian Camp has been used of God to bring a maturity and ministry background essential to church planting. They have an evident passion for taking the Gospel to the lost and discipling believers in the context of a New Testament church.
God has burdened the Lugos to plant a church in the state of Oregon. The Northwest region of our country is one of the least churched areas of the United States. Their surrender is evidenced by their obedience to His call. Their need is for others to become partners with them in this work.
Pastor, let me encourage you to have them present their ministry in your church. They will challenge your people with their passion to do the will of God. I think you will find them worthy of your partnership in this great commission task of reproducing your church in this needy area of the US. I know they will leave fruit to your account and a church for the glory of God.
