Why Temple Teens?
If you are a 7th-12th grade teen in the Fredericksburg area, come join us at Temple Baptist Church. We have fantastic teens here at Temple, but you may wonder, "Why should I go there?” Well, in case you ask, here are some answers.
Real Truth!
In our world, everyone has an opinion - even about very important issues like heaven, hell, the meaning of life, what’s right, what’s wrong, etc. Can you believe whatever you want to? Does it even matter? How can we know who is right?
At Temple, we believe the most important thing we can do is share the truth of God’s Word. The Bible is the source of all truth. If you have real questions about real life, we can show you real answers based on real truth.
Real Fun!
What teen doesn’t like a good time? At Temple, we like to have fun. Our activities will definitely include something you’ll enjoy. If you’ve never raced a lazyboy chair, paddled a cardboard canoe, played capture the flag at 2 am, hunted all over Fredericksburg for clues, battled against a fire hose, served a 5 foot volleyball, or scaled a 12 foot wall, you need to join us before you miss any more!
Real People!
Our youth group is full of teens going through many of the same situations as you. We have homeschoolers, high schoolers, and middle schoolers throughout Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and King George. You may even recognize someone from your school! We come from different backgrounds and families to form a sort of "family” of our own. We’re brought together by a simple desire to know God more and live as He intended. I hope you’ll find a friendly spirit and welcoming attitude at Temple. So come on in, we’re waiting to meet you!
We have two weekly meetings
just for 7th-12th grade teens.
Teen Sunday School
Every Sunday we meet together to study and learn from God’s Word. We arrive from 9:00-9:15 am. After taking some time to catch up with each other, we have a brief assembly time before turning our focus to the lesson from Scripture. Armed with the truth of God’s Word, we’ll tackle even the tough topics and current issues as seen through the pages of Scripture.
Youth Alive
1 Cor 15:22 - "…even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
Our Youth Alive meeting assembles every Wednesday night throughout the school year. We play games that usually force a smile and make you laugh. We divide into prayer groups where you can share needs, burdens, and requests with others who care enough to pray for them. Then, we look to God’s Word for a practical message that applies to our everyday lives. Please join us as we discover what it truly means to "be made alive!”
